Stats Coffee Hour

Lots of us need to use statistics these days. Many of us also have questions about best practices in how to do so! In service of this need, stats-savvy members of staff convene a "statistics coffee hour" Mondays 12:00-1:00 in V/B/213 during term time. At least one member of the Data Science and Statistics team will be available during this time and you are welcome to drop in and out as much as you like. The coffee hour is a surgery for troubleshooting errors, giving advice on discrete problems you are having with your statistics and/or coding, and for general discussion. It is not intended to be a one-on-one session to get help with all of the statistical elements of your project - if this is what you need, please contact the committee directly. For more information, please see the LLS Data Science & Statistics Handbook.

Experimental Officer in Psycholinguistics

For one-on-one help with questions related to experiment design and implementation, schedule a meeting with the Experimental Officer (Shayne Sloggett). If you're having difficulty finding a time that works for you, please reach out to the Experimental Officer directly.

Mailing List

We maintain a mailing list of experimentally minded staff and students in Linguistics, Psychology, and Education. This list is used to distribute WHYPs updates, solicit news items, and announce social events. To find out more about this mailing list, or become a member, please contact us at psycholinguistics-enquiries@york.ac.uk.
